She revealed that her mother's problems were with her car, and she pulled to the station. As she waited, she entered pre labor and was helped by a car attendant to get her to the hospital. Strause was born in an in-hospital. Her mother wasn't aware of the fact that Strause was pregnant. Strause split with her biological dad, who was half Japanese and half Spanish. Jeff is her stepfather. Chrishell Strause missed a full year of middle school because she was forced to live in a tent. Strause told her story about washing her hair by the river and hiding from her peers and how she was dependent on food stamps. The parents of Strause "struggled with mental and addiction health" and she joined the Worldwide Church of God when she was 10 years old. Strause describes Strause as a self-confident female who was self-righteous and never had an employment that was steady.
